Mauro Borrelli

Mauro Borrelli has an impressive background as a conceptual artist in A-list movies. For the past 20 years, he has worked with many of Hollywood's top filmmakers, including Francis Ford Coppola, Tim Burton, Terry Gilliam, and Gore Verbinski, on a wide variety of projects, such as THE GODFATHER III, THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW, BARON MAUNCHAUSEN, and PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN III: AT WORLD'S END. Mr. Borrelli has also been employed as a mainstream screenwriter, penning Francis Ford Coppola's live-action version of PINOCCHIO, which he sold to Zoetrope Studios. In 1993, Mr.Borrelli wrote, directed, and edited his first short film, DONNA DEL, which received the "Best Short Movie Award" at the Venice Film Festival. His debut directorial feature, GOODBYE CASANOVA, starring Flea (from the Red Hot Chilly Peppers) and Jasmine Bleeth (from Baywatch) won awards at LAIFA and the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival, and his second motion picture, THE HAUNTED FOREST, a creepy supernatural thriller made on a modest budget, was picked up and distributed domestically by Lionsgate. Scott Svatos
SCREENWRITER
Scott Svatos is a graduate of the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television and has worked in the film and Internet industries for over 10 years. He is co-author of BOX OF SHADOWS with director Mauro Borrelli, and has written several other horror scripts with Borrelli, including WITCH SOLDIERS and WOLF RIDERS. In 2009, he wrote and co-produced the short serial killer vampire film SUCKER, which appeared in the Vampire Film Festival and Rhode Island International Horror Film Festival. He also recently wrote and produced the zombie horror comedy STABBIN CABIN, currently in post production. Mr. Svatos is also an accomplished web developer and new media creator. He is artist and author of the online webcomic Odin and Friends and has taught courses in digital moviemaking, web design, and new technology in the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. Producer Scott Rudolph has over fifteen years of experience in the entertainment industry. Eric Gustavo Petersen

E. Gustavo Petersen is an award-winning director of photography with multiple music video, television, and feature film credits. His prolific music video work includes the Miles Fisher music video, THIS MUST BE THE PLACE, which became an Internet sensation in 2009. Several well-known motion picture distributors have released Mr. Petersen's stylish feature films. RUST, which he shot for writer-director-actor Corbin Bernsen, was recently acquired by Sony Pictures, and the John P. Aguirre comedy UTOPIAN SOCIETY, starring Malin Ackerman, was a Warner Home Video release. Mr Petersen's most recent production, the dark and gritty supernatural thriller BOX OF SHADOWS is currently in post production, and he also just completed principal photography on the web series ZOMBIE ROADKILL, for Sam Raimi's Ghost House Pictures.
Maxim Matthew
VISUAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR
Over the years, Maxim Matthew has served as director, producer, and post-production supervisor on a slate of major feature films and music videos, overseeing animation, color-grading, and state-of-the-art-VFX. Mr. Matthew was born in Berlin and raised in Connecticut and West Germany. At the tender age of thirteen, he got his start in media as a trainee in the graphics office of a Berlin magazine before moving on to design the web site for political television talk show SABINE CHRISTIANSEN and becoming, at sixteen, the youngest employee at Pixelpark AG, where he worked as an HTML programmer and technical manger of the web development unit. Mr. Matthew also served as creative director for Razorfish, a leading German marketing and design agency. By twenty, Mr. Matthew was a guest lecturer at the Zurich University of Design and Art Director at Medienkontor Online GmbH. Working under his mentor Jurgen Müller, he began photographing bands such as Marilyn Manson and Rage Against the Machine for the European magazine Metal Hammer. After turning down an offer as Art Director of one of the biggest European design firms, he formed Maxim Matthew Creations to pursue his main passion, film. Today Mr. Matthew is a valued player within the German entertainment community, and is now expanding stateside.

José J. Herring

José J. Herring began studying music at the age of 9. After finishing high school, he was awarded a full scholarship to the University of Arizona School of Music. After two years at Arizona, Mr. Herring was given another scholarship to the prestigious Juilliard School of Music in New York City where he received his Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in music performance, conducting, and composition. Upon graduation from Juilliard, Mr. Herring went on to work with several world-class orchestras, including the Vancouver Symphony and the Cincinnati Pops. He has composed and produced over a dozen film and television scores airing on many stations around the world, including HBO, Showtime, and PBS. And he has worked with several pop and rock artists, such as r&b sensation Toni Braxton and legendary rock band AMERICA. Currently José is living in Los Angeles with wife Sherrill Herring and son Julian.
Charles Bornstein, A.C.E.

With over 35 years experience in Hollywood as motion picture editor, Charles Bornstein is considered a cutting room stylist with a reputation for assembling great performances that was earned during his long and inspired career. Mr. Bornstein has over 70 feature film and television credits, and has made a name for himself editing supernatural thrillers like the original HALLOWEEN and THE FOG, Stephen King's SOMETIMES THEY COME BACK, as well as a number of other genre pictures, including movies in the FRIDAY THE 13th, HOWLING, RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD, CRITTERS, and PSYCHO franchises. His latest genre effort, DARK HOUSE, is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2010.
Alfredo Gilardini

Alfredo Gilardini graduated from Oxford (Manchester College) in 1990 with a degree in History. He continued his education with a Master of Fine Arts from the Annenberg School for Communications at USC, then worked as an Executive for Ogilvy & Mather Advertising in Paris and New York, and presently works as a foreign correspondent for the Italian TV Channel Super3, which re-ignited his interest in telling stories. Mr. Gilardini wrote his first play at eight (in Italian), and his passion for theater and stories in general continued at Oxford where he produced and acted in various theatrical productions, including CHARLIE'S AUNT (Brandon Thomas), THE REBEL (A. Camus), and Shakespeare's OTHELLO. Following Ogilvy & Mather, he tried his hand at sitcom writing and was hired to re-write one season of the Italian Sitcom VIA ZANNARDI. Mr. Gilardini also has written various motion picture screenplays, including an adaptation of Ayn Rand's ATLAS SHRUGGED. After his work as foreign correspondent, Mr. Gilardini actively looked to help in producing motion pictures with Italian compatriots, believing that Italian talent is not lost, just hidden. In 2010, he produced two Italian led films: COMING AND GOING directed by Edoardo Ponti and BOX OF SHADOWS directed by Mauro Borrelli. He continues his endeavors in Italian film and is currently in pre-production of his own motion picture script TERROR.
Gabriella Stollenwerck

Gabriella Stollenwerck started her film career in 1989 at Orion Pictures Classics, working alongside directors such as Pedro Almodovar, Richard Linklater and Jim Jarmush. She went on to serve as vice-president of advertising and publicity at Sony Pictures Classics where she coordinated the 1992 Academy Awards campaign for HOWARDS END, winner of five Academy Awards, and INDOCHINE, which received the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Ms. Stollenwerck also provided worldwide marketing for Sony’s IMAX 3D films, including Jean-Jacques Annaud’s WINGS OF COURAGE and ACROSS THE SEA OF TIME. Over the past few years, Ms. Stollenwerck has produced several critically acclaimed independent features, including the horror thriller DEAD END, starring Ray Wise, MIXING NIA, featuring Karyn Parsons and Isaiah Washington, BIG NOTHING, starring David Schwimmer and Simon Pegg, and James Hacking’s NO ORDINARY TRIFFLE. Ford Austin

Ford Austin is an award-winning filmmaker who has directed a total of 7 feature films, three of which are available in Blockbuster, Netflix, Target, Fry’s, Best Buy and everywhere DVDs are sold. In 2008, Mr. Austin wrote & directed the award-winning short film TINY DANCER, which played over 40 festivals, won the Southern California Motion Picture Council's Golden Halo Award and qualified for the 2007 Academy Awards Live Action Short category. In 2007, he sold his original idea for the TV show JUDGE BY JURY to CBS/Paramount Television Studios. And in 2005, he created and starred in the wildly successful Channel 101 series THE WRIGHT STUFF, which ran for 6 months as a Primetime show. Prior to working in film in LA, Mr. Austin performed as a professional actor in lead roles on TV and on stage in New York City where he starred in the world premiere of Henry Miller's LAWYERS with Kevin Conway, a revival of DEATH OF A SALESMAN with Ralph Waite, a slew of off-Broadway plays, the Philadelphia premiere of THE GRAPES OF WRATH and the national tour of MALE INTELLECT: AN OXYMORON. Ford views his eclectic combination of acting and performance styles as the key to directing and producing top Hollywood actors and non-actors alike. He has studied Stanislavski Method with Uta Hagen, Improv at The Groundlings, received an MFA in Acting from Temple University and is an Alumni of The Writer's Bootcamp in Santa Monica.

A former Vice President of Talent and Casting for Spelling Television, Pamela Shae has placed actors in over 50 prime-time television shows, including BEVERLY HILLS 90210, 7TH HEAVEN, CHARMED, MALIBU SHORES, and MELROSE PLACE. In her 15-plus years of casting, she has helped assemble the acting talent for a number of high-profile projects that were helmed by A-list directors, including Joel Schumacher, Martin Campbell, and Allen Coulter, where she worked with many top stars, such as Zac Efron, Robert Foster, Danny Glover, Dennis Farina, Jessica Biel, Mare Winningham, and Alyssa Milano, to name just a few. Ms. Shae recently made the jump from television to film and has several projects currently in development, including RED GOLD and JUICED. When choosing acting talent, Ms. Shae looks for “infectious appeal that keeps viewers wanting more,” and she is very excited about the fresh new faces being brought to the screen in BOX OF SHADOWS.
